We continue to closely monitor Government advice whilst looking at contingency plans in the event that the Government closes schools down nationally.
We are following guidance from Public Health England (PHE), the Department for Health and accessing daily bulletins from the Department for Education. The latest information can be found here:
“Pupils enjoy coming to school, and they learn with sparkling enthusiasm.”
“There is a strong sense of community at Kents Hill.”
“There is a strong culture for keeping children safe at Kents Hill.”
- Ofsted (July 2017)
On behalf of the children, staff and governors I am proud to welcome you to the Kents Hill School website.
Our school is part of the Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET) and we are wholly committed to working closely with our partner schools.
We are a very happy, friendly and caring school determined to put learning at the heart of our diverse and welcoming community. We have high expectations of everyone within our school community and we are determined that every child who leaves our school has every opportunity still open to them.
At Kents Hill School, we believe in developing a Growth Mindset. This is the belief that our intelligence has no ceiling and is not fixed. We believe success and achievement comes from hard work and practice – rather than relying on natural talent or ability. We praise children for their effort – not for how ‘intelligent’ they are. We believe that new skills can be learnt and acquired with effort, input, time and practice. If we can’t do something at Kents Hill School, we say “I can’t do it yet!”
Working closely in partnership with parents and carers is key to successful learning. We are aiming to build a school community in which everyone can feel welcome, safe and benefit from learning gains.
I hope you find the website informative and helpful and that it gives you a feel for what Kents Hill School can offer you and your child. To arrange a visit, or enquire about information that you may not find on our website, please contact the school office on 01908 240038.
Thank you for visiting.
Mrs Jane Mackie, Headteacher Mrs Justine Ives, Chair of Governors
